Panel Session 1

Resourceful Self & Organization

In an increasingly resource-constrained world, how can individuals and organizations sharpen their creativity and fully leverage the assets already within their reach? This session invites us to explore how social innovators, entrepreneurs, and community organizations can cultivate a spirit of ingenuity—transforming local skills, materials, and knowledge into powerful engines for sustainable impact.

What practices and mindsets help people and organizations remain adaptable, resilient, and continuously innovative in the face of limited external resources? Together, we’ll reflect on how resourcefulness at the individual and organizational level can become a lifelong strategy for sustaining mission driven work.

Panel Session 2

Resourceful Networks

Networks are vital engines of collective strength—but sustaining them over time often proves challenging. This session will explore how African networks and alliances can embody resourcefulness themselves: finding new ways to thrive without over-reliance on traditional funding or rigid membership models.

How can networks creatively mobilize local assets, skills, and relationships to sustain their work? What innovative approaches are emerging for building networks that are adaptive, self-sustaining, and impact driven? Together, we’ll reflect on how networks can move beyond conventional structures to unlock fresh possibilities for collaboration and resilience.

Panel Session 3

Resourceful Society

What does it take to build a society that not only survives but thrives through its own ingenuity? This session will explore how communities and broader systems can become more self-reliant—recognizing and valuing local resources, indigenous knowledge, and grassroots innovations. How do societies unlock collective creativity, build enabling environments, and nurture institutions that champion self-sustaining solutions?

What are the systemic shifts needed to transform resourcefulness from isolated efforts into a societal norm? We’ll reflect on how Africa’s vast, often underappreciated, wealth of assets can drive a future of self-defined and self sustained development.
