About Us

The African Social Enterprise Workshop (ASEW) aims to contribute to the development of social enterprise capacities to sustain their impact work in Africa.
By organizing interactive and inclusive workshops, it seeks, highlights and addresses critical knowledge gaps impeding the sustenance of their impact work, while bridging the gap between the capacity development needs of social entrepreneurs and the availability of expertise and resources that can help meet them.

ASEW also encourages networking and collaborations among social enterprises. Since 2019, ASEW has had a number of workshops, physical and virtual, engaging with several social entrepreneurs from across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, South Africa, among others.
All ASEW events are FREE and open to both nascent and experienced social entrepreneurs in Africa and to those in the diaspora that are focused on solving problems on the African continent.

To equip social enterprises aiming to solve economic, social, and environmental problems on the African continent with the mindset, knowledge, skills, and support networks necessary to sustain their impact and to thrive in the dynamic landscape of social entrepreneurship in Africa.
