We’re thrilled to officially announce that the Sustaining Impact Summit (SIS) is back—and this time, it’s bolder, bigger, and promises to be more transformative than ever.
Now in its 7th edition, the Sustaining Impact Summit continues its mission of convening Africa’s leading social innovators, development professionals, ecosystem enablers, and impact-focused individuals to address one of the most pressing challenges facing impact-driven organizations today: how to sustainably resource their work and scale their impact—especially when external support is limited or non-existent.
Why the Sustaining Impact Summit Matters Now More Than Ever
Across Africa, social enterprises and NGOs are at the forefront of solving some of the continent’s most pressing social, economic, and environmental problems. Yet many of these organizations—despite their brilliance and commitment—grapple with a daunting reality: sustaining impact in volatile, resource-constrained environments.
That’s why we created the Sustaining Impact Summit—to celebrate the resilience of these organizations, shine a light on the barriers they face, and create actionable roadmaps for long-term success.
Each year, SIS brings together a powerful mix of grassroots leaders, industry experts, funders, policymakers, and development practitioners from across Africa and beyond. Our aim is simple: to equip these changemakers with the tools, strategies, networks, and inspiration they need to thrive—even in the face of uncertainty.
What to Expect at the 7th Edition
This year’s Summit builds on the momentum of past editions with a renewed focus on self-sufficiency and resilience. Through expert-led sessions, SIS7 aim to provide participants with:
• Proven frameworks to enhance resourcefullness as an individual, organization and/or community.
• Guidance on navigating funding shifts and global crises
• Access to a growing network of partners across Africa
• Real-world insights on what it takes to sustain impact beyond funding. Whether you’re leading a grassroots initiative, scaling a social enterprise, supporting community development, or investing in the ecosystem, the 2025 edition of SIS promises content that is practitioner-oriented, deeply insightful, and immediately applicable.
A Summit Rooted in Impact
At the heart of SIS is our vision: A world where every African social enterprise is self-sufficient and every African social entrepreneur thrives in driving the continent’s sustainable development.
Our mission is to equip social innovators aiming to solve economic, social, and environmental problems on the African continent with the mindset, knowledge, skills, networks, and support necessary to sustain their impact and to thrive in Africa.
