As part of the 7th edition of the Sustaining Impact Summit (SIS), this annual prize celebrates the work of individuals and organizations across Africa who are innovating boldly, resourcing smartly, and sustaining impact in ways that are relevant and locally rooted. This yearās prize builds on the legacy of past editions ā with even more opportunities for recognition, connection, and growth.
What is the Sustaining Impact Prize?
The Sustaining Impact Prize is an initiative by the African Social Enterprise Workshop (ASEW) to reward African-led solutions that are actively driving sustainable development while building lasting systems of support for their work.
Itās not just about doing good ā itās about doing good sustainably. Weāre shining a light on organizations that have cracked the code on resourcing their impact through creativity, resilience, and a deep understanding of local needs.
Whether youāre building a community-run clean energy initiative, transforming local agriculture through innovation, or developing platforms that connect underserved groups to essential services ā this prize is for you.
What Weāre Looking For
Applications will be judged on the basis of:
– Alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
– How youāre sustaining your work now ā your current resourcing strategy and systems
– How you plan to sustain it long-term ā your roadmap for growth, funding, and impact
Submission Requirements
To apply, simply submit ONE of the following formats:
1. Application Form
Provide clear, detailed information about your project or initiative.
2. Pitch Deck (max 5 slides)
Showcase your initiative, impact (include metrics), current sustainability practices, and your long-term vision.
OR
3. Video Pitch (max 5 minutes)
Record a brief but compelling video covering the same topics as the pitch deck.
