Mastercard foundation program
Original-McGill University, in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, has been dedicated to the empowerment of academically gifted young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa through the esteemed Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. Since its inception in 2013, the program has been flourishing across both campuses of the university, providing access to world-class education and robust support systems for selected scholars.
Over the past decade, the Scholars Program has witnessed tremendous success, enabling 120 scholars to successfully complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees at McGill University. This transformative initiative has made a lasting impact, prompting an extension of the program for another decade at McGill.

Mission: The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program aims to nurture the next generation of leaders committed to social change by providing them with educational opportunities and comprehensive support.
Scholarship Benefits: The program covers tuition, accommodation and a stipend for living expenses, empowering scholars to focus on their academic pursuits and personal growth.

To be considered for this opportunity, aspiring scholars must initiate their application through their chosen university, one of our partner institutions. In cases where application fees are required as part of the admissions process, these fees will be reimbursed to the student upon selection for the Scholars Program.
